Her bursting indignation against the position of women:
How are we fallen! Fallen by mistaken rules,
And education’s more than Nature’s fools;
Debarred from all improvements of the mind,
And to be dull, expected and designed;
And if someone would soar above the rest,
With warmer fancy, and ambition pressed,
So strong the opposing faction still appears,
The hopes to thrive can ne’er outweigh the fears.

She was a lady born in 1661, born in and married into a noble family and yet she was outraged by the position of women then.
I am only stunned that this is yet too true in the society even after centuries have passed by.

Feminine names in newspapers are legendary but only few. This is real pathetic when they fit in every role.

Inequality is complete nonsense in all its various forms but when any community (by which I mean men, as men tend to define what a “community” can be) allows ~50% of its population to be treated as unequal, change must happen. Gender equality is just one among many areas that need change. Come on, men (and I am one)!!! What are your fears? That your individual inadequacies will be known and you will have to compete with remarkable women on level ground? Perhaps this will make us all better. Thought of that? Keep pressing on, Moushmi. This nonsense happens in the “West” as well as everywhere else.

Yes, it does.
It’s not only “West” or “East” that sees such inequality. But I believe there will be one day when we are truly going to evolve leaving behind all the so called “non-sense”.
