Importance of Language

Ever wondered, what if there was no language?

What if we humans too would depend on only sign language and sounds like other beings?

Would everything will be simpler or more complex?

Would communication be any simpler with lesser options, or would it be more demanding?

What if there were no words, and only feelings?

  1. Language is important as it is a framework… And without language I don’t think that expressing would be so easy…
But on the other hand, if language was not there then restrictions and biased people wouldn’t be there….
So it has its own benefits and catches. .

  2. Like using telepathy without using language.sounds interesting.Especially there is no need of studying languages in school and no need of getting marks. But what of there is no English. We should interact in telepathy WordPress blog then

  3. With sign language as a source of communication I guess we would be having lesser options. But except that things would be more simpler than complex. World would have to face lesser problems because today the greater problems exist due to the lack of communication and also because of communication of words. On the realistic phase now I would say the magic of words is also important which has a beautiful impact and big space in the world.

  4. I think that what seems like an animal sound is actually a language which only they understand and our language may look like a ‘sound’ to them!! 😄
I also wonder how at the beginning of time people would communicate with signs etc…how language evolved..! It would have been so difficult otherwise to express in the absence of language…but now since we express it also gives rise to arguments and conflicts!!
Loved the last line! No language only feelings!!!

    1. Thank you Sifar.
I wonder too, how did this language evolved. How did it actually happen. The irony is, being a literature student, I do not know how it actually happened.
But I don’t even want to know, I am content with feelings, and speaking out what they are and just uncomplicate things instead of keeping them inside of me.

      1. Yeah it pricks the brain…not only language but other things also which evolved…like medicine, food…i wonder how early people moved from eating animals to growing grains and identifying how to cook each in a different way…then discovering spices and how it will give taste, etc etc So many things…finally it evolved so much that we have food industries now…fascinating isnt it! Then medical science has it’s own long history! Then language and art and culture…cultures own it to languages! If we start thinking about it then it’s like never ending!!
Sorry i diverted! Yes you are right….feelings and feelings only! Simple and uncomplicated life!!
