All my close friends and the some of the followers here know that I am a big time book nerd, reading being my escape from reality. But my nerd problems extent to a deeper level this week. I share here some pictures of my oh-so-consistent trouble. (Courtesy to google)
But I dozed off at 300 pages 😦
Do you think you would be able to live without breathing? DUH!
Escape Reality!!!!
I sure have, many times:-D
I can marry only them with my whole heart 😀
I already am 😦
I could really use that money….
Every single time!!!!
I mean did I ask you? Did I borrow your money for those books? Am I occupying your space for those book? Those are my babies, I can have as many as I want 😀
I wish I could have more respect for tomorrow.
I definitely would.. Because I would win every single time..
Oh yeah, baby!!
Do any of you relate to this? Or am I the only one trying to escape reality, living in a fantasy land where I have… Well, everything that I want.
Love these! Thanks for sharing!

Haha. The said quotes are apt for the book lovers. Surprisingly, no number of books is enough, there is always the craving to buy more. Especially, the possessiveness for books is comparable to Smeagol’s “my precious”.
Thank you for such a genuine post.

It was my pleasure. Thanks for stopping by,
I understand how we can be possessive about books, we don’t want to share them even with our best of friends.. 😀

Hahaha, so true. And even if happen to share our books we tend to remain cranky until the same is returned.

I know, right?
I am constantly at over other person’s head to know how far they have reached, so that I can have my book back 😀

Haha, I do the same all the time. I recently handed “crime and punishment” to a friend and I have been bugging him ever since. Considering the fact that it’s a 1960 edition and that it requires patience and time to be understood.

I hope you get it back soon because the edition needs to be saved and treasured 🙂

Only if it is unbalanced Moushmi, and like everything else in our lives, anything that reaches that point begins to cause problems.
Find the balance, like taking a walk, smelling a flower…eating even comes in handy too 😀

Haha, I agree Mark.
Thanks, everything does need to be balanced.

I was just like that in my college days Moushmi. A total book nerd 😀. Now somehow reading has taken a back seat due to various other reasons!

Haha…no wonder!! And you actually took pains to collect all these and put in a blog!! Deserves a special applause….. 👏…i have a special affinity for books since childhood as i had told you already…having grown amongst them! And a dream of having my own personal library one day! Last 5 years i lost that fire in me to read anything….but slowly trying hard to re-ignite it!!!

I don’t know about this. Specially not very fond of biographies.

Have you read any biographies? This is the second one im reading. Only read of those whom I personally like. As in this case Musk I admire a lot!

Yes biographies of Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana. Both very inspiring but both were just stated facts and had dates and pictures. I mean the one which I picked up had, but if the very same things would have been mentioned in a prose form I’d had liked that more.

Biography in a prose form?! Interesting….never heard if there is one like that! I have read only one that of mahatma gandhi and now this one…

LIke, loved and super loved this one, Moushmi. I have fallen head over heels in love so many times, I have seen the story unfold before my eyes, I have cried, loved, lost nights of beauty sleep and so much more for books. I agree that even though I own more books than dresses today, my responsibilities have toned down my marathon reading ability but I still manage occasionally when I escape into the confines of a bathroom to complete a certain chapter for uninterrupted reading. 😉

Hahahaha Oh my God, I thought I was the only one who’s sneak into bathrooms to finish some reading. I guess got company 😀

Really? I thought only Mommies with little ones who are in constant need of their attention do this. 😉 Most of the time they come and queue by the door so I kind of give up.

No, I do this too, I don’t know if I should ever be proud of it (Embarrassed now!) But sometimes I get so addicted with the books that my folks really get irritated with me, and don’t let me read peacefully which leads to such dire circumstances 😀
