Superhuman.

I wonder how people exactly multi task so much. Oh, don’t get me wrong; I am not talking about simple things like walking and texting, or eating and watching TV. I have bigger issues today. There are people who do millions of things together and yet seem never to get tired.

I know some people who do this! I am not kidding!!

Their chores start the moment the wake up, and seem never ending. It all begins with a morning work out/ exercise/ walk, and goes on to their respective jobs. Well of course a single job doesn’t suffice and so there is another part time work from home thing. And they seem to have time for that too. Their lunches are always never alone, considering how many people they have to keep up with. The evening brings back the writing ant inside of them and hence starts the blogging world, which of course requires an exceptional amount of time. Blogging is of course never a one-hand thing, leading to various social media for recognition, where of course they are extraordinarily rewarded. They have a social presence in a virtual world too. Their friends know their whereabouts constantly, from what they are doing, where they are doing, to why and with whom they are. Hence their social life is hype. Well, as dusk falls, dinner reservations are made for social life is not for only social media, made. So, when the person comes back home, with a stomach full, and a little weekday booze, a coffee is needed so that the person does not snooze. As the exams are approaching the person needs to prepare too. And hence a couple of hours are spent, wracking the brains and selecting the mains, whereby sleep befalls, and peace prevails.

Please tell me how do these people do this! Are they even human or some super power do they attain? Do I lack that kind of brain? Or am I just too lazy and of course a little crazy to even follow that kind of train?

PS: This is me, pretty much after doing every single thing!

  1. My life till date, has been spent in making all efforts to avoid getting to know such people, even now, as I read this post, I am pretending to be asleep, this excess of commas are because I am sleeptyping.

    1. I am glad I found someone to be on the train with me. Otherwise for a while I started thinking that I’d be there all alone, pretending to live in 20th C or what! Because today people are simply running… God knows where.

  2. I had a lady tell me it’s absolutely impossible to multitask and that your brain simply doesn’t work that way. I told her she apparently had never met me and she definitely wasn’t a mom! 🤣 This was a fun post to read!

      1. Your discreet approach makes the probability of both very bleak. But again as we said before, hope 😊

PS: It will be my pleasure to me in a party with you 😊and hopefully I can show you show of my tricks of multi-tasking 😊

    1. hi, thanks so much for your lovely comment.
I so agree with your thoughts here. No one these days even thinks of slowing down and living in the moment. It has all come down to achieving goals, and meeting deadlines of life.

  3. Well actually, they cannot do more than one thing at a time. You can have many tasks running parallel but you have to take time from one to attend to another. Multitasking is a fallacy it does not exist. Simple. I used put the clothes on to wash, clean the kitchen, hang out the clothes, finish cleaning said kitchen and perhaps start to cook and prepare the next meal. Unless you have many arms and can project your physical body many times in different places, it is impossible to multitask.

  4. well I think people who do too much for too long will pay the price later.
BUT! There are folks who just have more energy and need less “refresh and decompress” time – so more power to them (or they are super human) but I think many times “youth” is on their side and they have a serious sleep-debt that will cost them later- with maybe even an immune system crash.
we are so diverse as humans but yet so similar in that we need good sleep and enough rest for health.

  5. I don’t know these ‘superhumans’ you are speaking of, Moushmi… Do they really exist? And if they do; do they lament their actions in private?
Give me some fun, some work, some leisure, some rest… and I’m more than a happy chappy! 🙂
    A fun post.. 🙂

  6. It’s not rocket science, just you have to manage your time properly. It’s not that they don’t get tired, but they don’t allow that to come in their head. I am multitask myself. It’s all in mind. Moment I say I am tired I can’t do anything. So I tried to keep that word away from my head. And most important thing when we rise early and go for morning walk, we will never get tired for the full day. You will feel energy inside you. My morning walks helps me a lot.

  7. Haha….the end was funny!! 😅 and that’s me typically just after ‘thinking’ about the pending work! 😛 agreed the other types are superhumans or aliens to me as well and hence i make sure to avoid them so as to not get the complex!!

    1. I try to avoid them too, but they tend to be present even at my own place, at my work place, at the favaourite place where I love to dine, or go have coffee!! It’s like they have made a resolution of haunting me this year!

      1. Oh yes they are omnipresent!! They are really after you this year or maybe you are noticing them more this year and they have always been around? But i have been bumping into them since forever…like since childhood!! And then the inevitable comparisons with them by parents in childhood! Atleast now i can silently avoid them … what are they made of!!! We need a secret society of mortal humans to get rid of them 😈
