The Sea

Poetry has been a consistent part of my life, first reading and then writing. Though if someone would have said that I could try writing poems, a year back, I would have rolled my eyes and said, “Yeah, right!” Not that I have become very confident of my pieces, but I have come as far as trying to share them and be judged.

So, judge away a small poem that has been accepted for publication by Indian Periodical:

The Sea

Do share with me what you think about this. It is always amazing to hear from you, and helpful to hear an honest opinion.

  1. Indeed it took a while to have a fix on your splendid poetry. Sums up the whole life of a sea until it veils it’s beauty under the dark only to rise and shine the next morning.
Don’t know whether I could sense the meaning right! But I love reading them..😊💙

  2. Congratulations and well deserved. I loved the poem and I kept thinking of colors and canvases, waiting for the sea to appear. The writing has the angst, the introspection, the helplessness but never a sense of defeat that pervades most of your writing.

      1. I hope so too M, I know you are not the type who would be comfortable in defeat, be it reality or writing, sometimes there is not much difference between the two.

Your perception holds importance for me.
