Why We Need Feminism in 2021 #2

We need feminism because when covid-19 suddenly happened and everyone was locked in and people had nowhere to go, working and studying from home, no ecape with constricted spaces, it was WHO who had to bring a tab titled ‘Domestic Violence during Covid-19’ to their dashboard.

Violence happens even without a pandemic, but with the unwanted and the unexpected pandemic, the cases were rising, women were harassed and exploited more than usual and cases in unwanted pregnancies increased. Women had no choice, again!

Women were threatened. Women are! We need feminism till there is even one human of any gender who does not have a choice. Period.

#qotd Tell me your thoughts, do you think it is justified that on top of the pandemic, women as usual had more things to worry about than men, still feeling unsafe in their own houses.

  1. Unfortunately, the virus not only left its aftermath on the body, but also brought out the sick minds of men to mistreat defenseless women. An evil that has appeared around the world and little has been done to eradicate it. Only the union of all women, in a single voice of protest, will be heard. Very good your publication.

  2. Feminism got a bad name from militant feminists in the 70’s and hasn’t quite recovered it’s true sense, which is to promote equality, instead of women traditionally being seen as inferior, less worthy, not as capable, or less intelligent. It was to have been a movement to raise awareness, help remove barriers, and to help change laws which govern women’s wages, legal rights, and every aspect of their place in society.

It was twisted that women wanted to take their place over men, to be above them, to rule them, when in actuality it was simply to walk alongside of men and not behind, both in the literal sense and the proverbial.

Brava for promoting awareness, which is needed so profoundly now!

Your perception holds importance for me.
