Why We Need Feminism in 2021 #6

Day 6 of #whyweneedfeminismin2021

#qotd Do you define yourself as a feminist? If yes, do you get those stares?

We need feminism because a feminist is still considered to be man hater. Because people still think men cannot and are not feminists. Because feminism is associated with aggression.

I don’t hate men. My go to person is a man, a friend whom I can bug even in the middle of the night. I won’t tag him here because he is just useless, but well yeah. I don’t hate my father, brother, uncles. Feminism does not mean that you hate men. It means that you hate those who differentiate between genders.

A feminist is not someone who is simply angry without a reason, on everyone else. A feminist gets angry when they get biased opinions on the equality that they believe in. They get angry when something wrong happens, just as normal people would. Feminism is not synonymous to either man-hater or aggression. It is simply a matter of right and wrong. Seriously thought, how difficult is that to digest?

  1. I completely agree with you that being feminist doesn’t mean that you should hate all men and use phrases like ‘All men are trash’. Being a feminist means speaking for women & their rights and raise a voice against those who do bad things to women.
