Pink tax is definitely one of the reason why we need feminism. Illegal or not, it is wrong. How come the same products when targetted for women increase in price? How come the same shampoo, conditioner, razors, swimsuits, become so expensive when they are not targetted towards men? What is this gender based price discrimination? Also, how the contraceptives used by men and sanitary differ in prices so much? Where is the underlying need?
#qotd Have you ever noticed these discrimination?

agree with all your points here and I have noticed … we get paid less and must buy at higher prices … go figure!

In my opinion, it is more marketing strategy than discrimination as companies know very well that women are more beauty conscious than men. Women spend more money on such products than men, that is why companies keep high prices of such products. The beauty industry is more women-focused. There is a different side to it also. From clothing to grooming, there are huge options and variety are available for women in comparison to men. I agree that essentials like sanitary pads must be cost minimum or provided free.
